Luis Henríquez
Writer and Cultural Translator
Luis brings a unique perspective to the team with a Ph.D. in comparative literature, focusing on migrant narratives and exile, particularly from Latin America to Canada. With extensive experience in education, translation, and editing, he has co-founded a publishing house that fosters connections between Spanish and French language literatures in Quebec. His expertise in migrant narratives, and cross-cultural translation and storytelling gives him a distinctive ability to approach film and media projects from a deep, analytical, and socially conscious standpoint.
As part of his collaborations with David, Luis's role in the development of a fiction series and documentary on "grief tech" is to ensure that the narrative not only explores cutting-edge technological topics but does so through the lens of human experience, especially from the perspective of underrepresented groups. His academic background and international experience will contribute to the cultural sensitivity and inclusivity of these projects, including the object of this application, expanding their relevance to diverse audiences.
